Two more years in the service included one tour in Viet Nam. He returned to this country to The Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania for training in Otolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery).

He attended Albany Junior College (now known as Darton College) before transferring to the University of Georgia to complete his BS in Pharmacy. While in Athens, he was recognized for his exceptional academic performance with the Robert Wilson Outstanding Graduate Award.

He returned to Albany to work as a pharmacist for 3 years before again entering the class room to pursue a medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. During this time, he earned membership in the highly esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Mann continued his training in the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery program in Augusta.

With his surgical training complete, Dr. Mann again returned “home”, joining Albany Ear, Nose and Throat in Albany in 1992.
